Morris Stoloff is best remembered for his 1956 Top 10 hit that paired the swing era tune "Moonglow" with the theme from Picnic. "Moonglow", also known as "Moonglow and Love", is a 1933 song with music by Will Hudson and Irving Mills and lyrics by Eddie DeLange, while the love theme from the 1955 movie Picnic was composed by George Duning and Steve Allen (though Allen's lyrics were not used in the film). Stoloff's instrumental arrangement intertwines both tunes into one.
