Annotation

Sung in French. Remastered 2014 in Baarn, The Netherlands, using the original multi-channel master tapes. SACD layer contains both stereo mix and Quadraphonic multichannel mix. Comes in a thick hardcover book with discs slid into paper pouches inside front and rear covers.

Recorded at New York's Metropolitan Opera House, September 1972. The production opened on 19 September 1972 for six performances. Recording commenced on 22 September 1972 and concluded one week before the final performance.
